A three-location dental practice had reached the ceiling of consumer networking the way most growing businesses do — gradually, then all at once. The front-desk Wi-Fi dropped most afternoons, patient guest devices shared the same flat network as the practice-management software, and the security cameras hung off a tangle of power adapters under the reception desk. There was no IT staff, only an office manager and a hope that nobody asked hard questions about HIPAA-adjacent network isolation.

We installed a single-closet stack sized for exactly this. One OS-2400 PoE switch powers all four OA-700 Wi-Fi 6 access points, the cameras, and the desk phones over structured cabling, with a documented power budget and no wall-wart adapters anywhere. An OR-2000 router handles routing and firewalling and carries a dedicated guest VLAN that is fully isolated from the network running the practice-management software and the card terminals. The OA-700 access points coordinate without a separate controller appliance, so afternoon roaming between the waiting room and the operatories is seamless instead of a coin flip.

The practice now runs one closet, documented at install, with zero PoE power bricks and 100% of guest traffic separated from the systems that matter. The office manager manages it from a single view that does not assume a networking background, and the two satellite locations were cut over to identical stacks in an afternoon each, because identical is the point.

Small businesses do not need an enterprise network and they should not be sold one. They need the right three pieces, installed to spec, isolated where it counts, and simple enough to live with. That is what this is.
