The OC-RACKKIT is the unglamorous part that determines whether a closet is serviceable in two years or a knot nobody wants to touch. It is the mounting, cable-management, and grounding kit for every OKTET 1U chassis, and it is tool-less by design: the sliding rails clip into square- or round-hole EIA-310 posts and the chassis seats into them without a screwdriver, then locks. Depth adjusts from 450 mm to 900 mm post-to-post, which spans a shallow wall-mount comms cabinet through a full-depth data-center rack.
Cable management is included rather than sold as an afterthought. The kit carries a 1U horizontal organizer and five pass-through rings, enough to dress the patch on a fully populated OS-4800 so that individual links can be traced and replaced without disturbing their neighbors. The grounding hardware — a bonding strap and two rack lugs, rated under 0.1 Ω strap-to-lug — is the part installers most often skip and most often regret; a properly bonded chassis is a requirement, not a nicety, for surge survival and clean signaling.
The detail that ties it to the rest of the line is the labeling. Each kit includes an octet-numbered port-map decal sheet running 01 through 48, matched to the port numbering printed on OKTET switch faceplates, so the physical patch and the configuration share one numbering scheme. Rails are cold-rolled steel with anodized aluminium facings, finished in matte black with a signal-orange detail, rated to 40 kg per pair.
What’s in the box: one pair of tool-less sliding rails, one 1U cable organizer, five pass-through rings, twelve M6 cage nuts and screws, eight tool-less clips, one bonding strap, two grounding lugs, and the octet-numbered decal sheet. The kit fits any OKTET 1U chassis as shipped — no chassis-specific variant to order. For multi-unit stacks, order one kit per device.
Spec it against the rest of the line.
