This page summarises the warranty terms intended to accompany a production VANTA GT. Because the VANTA GT is currently a concept vehicle, the coverage described here is indicative and will be confirmed in the definitive warranty booklet supplied with any production vehicle. Final terms, durations, and regional variations take precedence over this summary.

Limited new-vehicle warranty

The new-vehicle limited warranty is intended to cover defects in materials and workmanship for 4 years or 80,000 kilometres, whichever comes first, from the date of delivery. Within this period we will repair or replace covered components at no charge through an authorised service centre. This warranty covers manufacturing defects; it does not cover normal wear items (such as tyres, wiper blades, and brake pads), cosmetic damage, or faults caused by accident, misuse, unauthorised modification, or failure to follow maintenance requirements.

High-voltage battery warranty

The high-voltage battery is covered by a separate, longer warranty intended to run for 8 years or 192,000 kilometres, whichever comes first. In addition to defects, this warranty covers excessive capacity loss: if the battery’s usable capacity falls below 70 percent of its original rated capacity within the coverage period, we will repair or replace it to restore performance to at least that threshold. Gradual capacity loss above this threshold is a normal characteristic of all electric-vehicle batteries and is not a defect.

Drivetrain and electrical systems

The dual-motor drivetrain, power electronics, and high-voltage charging hardware are covered under the new-vehicle limited warranty terms above, subject to the same exclusions.

What is required of you

Coverage is conditional on servicing the vehicle according to the maintenance schedule, using authorised service centres for warranty work, and operating and charging the vehicle in line with the owner’s guidance. Damage resulting from collision, environmental events, improper charging equipment, or unauthorised repair is not covered.

Transferability

The remaining warranty is intended to transfer to subsequent owners for the balance of the coverage period at no additional cost, supporting the vehicle’s long-term value.
