Middlemen are drawing current off your name. Take the line back.

Aggregators rank for your business name and sell your own customers back to you. The playbook for owning your channel again.
Search your own business name in a private window. If the first result is a directory, a booking platform, or a “best of” listicle with your name inside it, you are paying rent on your own front door.
How the toll booth works
Aggregators spend millions ranking for local intent. They intercept the customer who was already looking for you, wrap your listing in their brand, and charge you for the “lead.” It is a toll booth built on a road you paved.
The reclamation playbook
Start with the knowledge panel: claim it, complete it, and feed it weekly, because an active profile outranks a stale one. Then build a real page for every service you offer, each answering the questions people actually type. Mark everything up with structured data so machines quote you directly instead of quoting the middleman’s summary of you.
Reviews are the moat. Respond to every one, because responses are content, and content ranks. A profile with 200 answered reviews is very hard for an aggregator to outrank on your own name.
What normal looks like after
Six months of this work, done consistently, usually flips the ratio: the aggregator drops below your site, your profile, and your reviews. The tolls stop. The customers were always yours. Now the road is too.
