Our Story

Built on the belief that healthcare should feel human

SOLACE medical practice interior

SOLACE was born from frustration. After fifteen years in academic medicine, Dr. Elena Vasquez was exhausted by a system that measured success in throughput, not outcomes. Patients were given fifteen minutes, physicians were given quotas, and the human connection that makes medicine meaningful was lost.

She left to build something different — a practice where the consultation is the product, where physicians know every patient by name, and where the physical space itself communicates care. That conviction became SOLACE.

A letter from our founder

Dear future patients,

I became a doctor because I believed in the power of the physician-patient relationship. Over my career, I watched that relationship get compressed into shorter appointments, more paperwork, and less eye contact. I knew there was a better way.

SOLACE is my answer. Here, we have built a practice where the most important diagnostic tool is time — time to listen, time to think, time to care. Our physicians see fewer patients because quality and quantity are inversely related in medicine.

If you are tired of feeling like a number, if you want a physician who knows your story and not just your chart, I invite you to experience what healthcare should feel like.

With warmth,
Dr. Elena Vasquez
