Digital + Identity — 2024
CANVAS
A contemporary art gallery needed to stop competing with the art. We built an identity that disappears — so the work can breathe.

Every gallery we researched used the same playbook: white walls, black text, a stylised logo trying to signal culture. Canvas hired us after their second director called the brand 'invisible in the wrong way.' We had to build something invisible in the right way — present enough to frame the art, absent enough to never compete with it. The identity lives in negative space: a wordmark that reads as both 'C' and an open window. The digital experience scrolls like a slow walk through a physical exhibition. Nothing hurries you.
