What counts as a token?
KAIRO uses the same tokenization as the underlying model. Roughly speaking, 1 token ≈ 4 characters of English text. Context documents, prompts, and completions all count. We show real-time usage in the dashboard.
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes. Upgrade immediately and you'll be billed the prorated difference. Downgrade takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
What happens if I exceed my monthly token limit?
On the Explore tier, workflows will pause until the next billing cycle. On Build and Scale, additional tokens are billed at $0.60 per million tokens — you're never cut off mid-run.
Do you offer discounts for startups or non-profits?
Yes. We have a startup program for companies under 3 years old with less than $1M in funding. Email startups@kairo.ai with your company details.
What does Privacy Shield actually mean?
Your data is processed in an isolated sandbox that our team cannot access. It is never used to train shared models. We hold SOC 2 Type II certification and provide a BAA for healthcare customers.
Is there a self-hosted option?
Enterprise customers can deploy KAIRO to their own AWS, GCP, or Azure infrastructure. Contact sales for pricing.
