Marcus 'Dragon King' Chen dominated the 64-player field at the East Coast Regional, dropping only a single game across the entire tournament bracket.
Marcus “Dragon King” Chen secured first place at the GAUNTLET East Coast Regional with a dominant performance that left little doubt about his World Finals potential.
The Run
Chen dropped only a single game across six sets, a remarkable achievement in a 64-player double elimination field. His signature aggressive rushdown kept opponents defensive throughout, and his clutch Super execution under pressure sealed multiple decisive sets.
The grand finals against “Iron Wall” Santos lasted three sets, with Chen winning the final game in a dramatic round-three comeback that had the crowd on their feet.
Advancing to World Finals
With his Regional win, Chen earns a top-8 seed at the GAUNTLET World Finals on March 15-17 in Las Vegas. His prize pool total for the season now sits at $4,300.
“The level here was higher than I expected,” Chen said post-match. “But I’m ready for Vegas.”
